The Gatsby Desk, handcrafted with niangon and sapele, was sort of but not really inspired by the book (which I may or may not have read and instead just watched the movie).
Write like Fitzgerald—or just check emails—at this stylish work desk. This mid-century modern piece is made with floating mortise and tenon joinery. The rounded, semi-circular interior and exterior corners give the illusion that each joint flows from one another, lending continuity and fluidity to the design. The minimalistic doweled shelf spans across the mid-stretchers giving transparency to the piece, yet still allowing for storage for a laptop or iPad. As sleek and suave as Gatsby himself.
